Set yourself a reminder to log in to your MyGov account each month, and also make sure you are receiving notifications from your MyGov account via SMS or email.

By doing it yourself you are saving money and taking responsibility for your tax affairs.

We aim to check the following for you every 2-3 months:

• ATO contact details - phone, addresses, email contacts
• If you have any forms to lodge or paperwork to process
• provide an explanation of what the documents are for
• if there is a bill due, provide payment slips and ways to pay
• check and cancel any old registrations
• see if you have any money owing to you
• bank details
• check your super details, including if contributions are being made by your employer
• communication preferences with us and the ATO
• if you have a myGov account and if any correspondence is being sent there

With 2000 tax clients on our books, at 20 minutes per client, it will take us weeks to individually check each person's login and then contact them about their specific circumstances.

Back in the day, everything from the ATO was via snail mail (post) and we used to receive your mail, scan it and then forward it on to you. 

With the change in technology where more people have access to myGov, it is harder for us to track your paperwork, as sometimes it comes to us, and sometimes it doesn't.

Our new policy is that you are responsible for your own paperwork. Now there are multiple ways to receive your paperwork, so we are offering this personalised ATO Check service to help the people who need it.  

Life is so busy, and if you don't act on something straight away, you forget about it.

We want to help you manage your tax affairs, not miss any tax bills, and help you understand the bills you receive, as tax is not something that you want to ignore.
We will make sure that you never miss a thing with the ATO, and never get a stressful text message or phone call from them saying you owe money.

After you submit your interest, we will contact you within 3 working days to book an interview time to  check your details with the ATO. 

At the Initial Interview, you will get a chance to review all of your ATO records, and know that your information is completely up to date. You will get access to any documentation that you don't already have, payment slips and other forms that you might need.

If you require a schedule to check your details every 1-3 months (depending on the complexity of your situation), we will work together to find the right schedule, then book in your subsequent checks. 

Think of it as an investment into your mental health, when dealing with your taxes.  If you are lost or confused about the amount of paperwork coming through from the ATO, then we can help you get on track and understand what you need to know.  

We charge according to how many check-ins we believe we will do.  For the initial interview, this will be $88, and we will run through all of your settings, and then determine the schedule to suit your circumstances. The average fee per year is $275 inc GST, which also covers the initial interview.
